We help clients understand and manage complex cross-Government and supply / delivery chain relationships to deliver front line outcomes. We support client management teams to plan, lead and respond with clarity and depth of insight. Our interventions are typically across a broad range of business planning, value based management and stakeholder management activities. Alignea helps clients to establish: clear, functional purposes for each element of their organisation; roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for delivering strategic outcomes; the delivery models required, reflecting the unique circumstances of each organisation with whom we work. To borrow the words of Sir Gus O’Donnell, 2006, we engage in the design process that selects and tailors delivery systems that are capable of delivering the required outcome, drawing on a repertoire of approaches to structure, incentives, delivery, relationships, governance and so on. We work with our clients using innovative tools to establish the most efficient, effective business model to underpin the delivery of the strategy and associated outcomes. We design organisational structures to maximize the use of assets, engender a knowledge and learning culture and to provide efficient ways of working to maximize the value delivered, through organisational design (OD) and business process reengineering (BPR) activities. The public sector is facing unprecedented reform against a back drop of budgetary pressures, efficiency requirements and resource being redirected to front line services. To counter these pressures and to capitalise on the assets of the public sector many Government agencies are make better use of their physical and non-physical assets including intellectual property, data and skills by engaging in commercial services. Our approach draws on our entrepreneurial expertise and knowledge of how to build successful, effective, innovative businesses. We work with clients to develop a businesslike approach to identifying and exploiting opportunities within Treasury Guidelines on Wider Markets, and other policies such as the Re-use of Public Sector Information.
